Project Overview

We were contacted by a client from Edinburgh and was planning to upgrade to a new electric vehicle. With this change, he was interested in installing solar panels and an electric vehicle (EV) charger at his home. After our initial meeting and a thorough assessment of the project, we determined that the best solution would be to install a system that included both PV (photovoltaic) panels and battery storage.

We provided the client with detailed calculations of installation costs and potential savings on electricity bills. These numbers reinforced his decision, making it clear that this investment would significantly reduce the operating costs of his business.

Our Solutions

The system we installed for the client included eight Trina TSM-425W NEG9R.28 N-Type All Black solar panels, strategically placed on both the front and back of the building. We paired these panels with a Sunsynk 5.5kW Single Phase Hybrid Solar Inverter and a Sunsynk 5.32kWh IP20 Battery Storage unit to ensure optimal energy efficiency and storage.

To complete the setup, we installed a Zappi EV charger, providing the client with a convenient and eco-friendly way to charge his new electric taxi.
