On 06 June 2024, we started a project for St Columba’s Hospice Care in Morningside, Edinburgh. The project had a budget of £4000 and focused on improving the shop’s lighting and electric heaters. Our Solutions

When we arrived, we found that part of the shop had been flooded due to a burst pipe. We inspected the area and found that some electrical repairs were needed right away. We replaced the old electrical boxes with new ones that met the latest safety rules. This made the shop safe again.

Next, we replaced the old ceiling lights, which often burned out and left the shop dimly lit. We installed new 600×600 LED panel lights. These lights can change color from cold to warm to daylight, making the shop brighter and more pleasant. The new lights also use less electricity, which will help lower the shop’s energy bills.

We also replaced the old electric heaters. This included installing new electrical cables and connection units. The old units were not working well and were poorly installed, making them unsafe. The new heaters and cables are safer and more efficient, keeping the shop warm without using too much power.

Project Summary
